Shorty`s Donut Shop and Diner in Texarkana

This is a local restaurant that has been around Texarkana forever. I had an omelet, and it was excellent. I also really enjoyed the biscuits on the side. I highly recommend getting a side of salsa with the omelette. The prices were also good. I highly recommend you check it out! They have donuts, but they have so much more. The service was a little slow as far as getting a refill on my drink, but they did a good job taking my order and getting my food out.As far as atmosphere, it has a bit of that hometown hole in the wall feel. It's not fancy, and you certainly won't want to take a date there, but it's got that intangible friendly quality that's nice to find in a local restaurant.

Food is always great and it's great to get good home cooked food instead of going to these fast food places and the price is worth it ! Good customer service as well!

Good place to meet old friends, have breakfast and conversation. The staff are busy but friendly and to get to know their customers, keep all the coffee cups filled and good, hot food out as it's ready. It's the breakfast place in Texarkana. Oh, and lunch too.

Awesome food and great customer service. The waitress even gave me a wet wipe to get the egg off my sons face . Definitely will be dining here again!!

THEY HAVE GOOD FOOD BUT I HAVENT BEEN THERE IN A YEAR

UpdateIt's been one of my go to places since the first review.If we were eating just the rate of the food it'd be higher. No complaints for the service by the ladies taking the orders, as they were sweet.We ordered a double bacon cheeseburger plain and dry and a burger no onions and well done fries.Fries were not well done, burger has lots of onions and the double bacon was not plain or dry. Exchanged the bacon burger, got a new one made but by the time we left with our to go order, we noticed there was no bacon.That being said, the food was good and tasty, but normally I'd give less than 3 stars for every order being wrong.Maybe I'll give them another shot, as the food was good, but I would not recommend to go order, perhaps it's better to eat in to get what you order and pay for.Forgot to add: best cinnamon roll type dessert (but wasn't actually a cinnamon roll)

Shorty's Donut's was a good place to go for great service and a nostalgic diner type atmosphere. The breakfast burrito that I had was okay. I could tell that it was homemade because it didn't have that "processed chain restaurant" taste, which really appealed to me. My daughter enjoyed her meal more than I, but I repeat, it wasn't bad at all, just okay. I plan to go back and try other menu items because I could see that the people that seemed to be regulars here really seem to enjoy it.

Food was cold, the pricing on the menu was incorrect . When I ask about, waitress was snappy and rude. WILL NOT GO BACK!!!

What an awesome staff! They have the best taco salad. We used to own a restaurant and the sraff that work there are exactly the kind of workers we would have hired. Keep up the good work!

I ordered a double cheeseburger, I really thought, I was going to enjoy my burger. Mind you ,I had just walked out of shorty’s, with the burger & I had to pull over at Pandas old building, because it was hailing & raining really bad so I decided to go ahead and eat my burger since I had to wait.I bit into that burger it was cold the cheese looked like it had just been slapped on the burger. Now the only good thing I can say about the burger is that it was big but that’s it. I spoke with the assistant manager and she act like she didn’t know what to do. I will not ever eat there again. I remember when shorty’s “ USE” to be the place to eat but I definitely can’t say that now.You all should be ashamed of yourselves giving people cold food when their spending their hard earned money on food their not satisfied with!!!!!

It has to be a new cook because i order the same thing when I go and its not been good the past couple of visit. 2x2x2 is what I get and my pancakes has been burned and bacon was kinda burn so I'm gone give them a break and maybe they'll get it together.

Great place for breakfast. Service was extremely friendly and helpful. Food was very good. Could use some updating on the interior but it was roomy and comfortable.

The owner went out of her way, literally, to make things right with my orde . Made my day. Great customer service and great food!!

This place is not a fast food place. It is a ole fashion dining experience. I love that you can go order a cup of coffee and done breakfast and just sit and talk with who ever is with you.. not a noisy place ,but a busy place . They have great service personal, those ladies up there are sweet, conversational, kind and friendly. I support it because it's a small business run by hometown people. #shortysforbreakfast

I go by Shortys at least twice a week, freindly staff, great food, and great atmosphere. Gotta try them hot links. Stack them deep with all the fixings you won't be disapointed
